Malaysian Young Scientist Assembly AWESOME!

umm kalau ikut buku yang dia bagi, MYSA was inspired by the Nobel Laureate Lindau Meeting for Young Researchers in Germany.. kamu tahu, kamu tahu?? sila GOOGLE.. kalau itu peringkat Dunia.. Asian punye peringkat Asian Science Camp.. aku punya peringkat nasional jek.. lagipun aku ni designer bukan scientist.. apalah sangat kan.. rasa macam tak layak pergi pun ada.. tsk tsk tsk.. masa Ice Breaking, perkenalkan diri..

"saya dari U dot dot dot.. Degree,.. erk.. Industrial Design.."

muke masing-masing macam......... *bunyi-bunyian cengkerik di tepi belukar*

tapi bila dah bercampur baur dengan sainstis-sainstis muda ni.. baru aku sedar "eh, ada gak kaitan aku dengan sains..." i mean scope study aku relies on many science aspect macam anthropometrics and human factors for ergonomics, simple physics and mathematics for mechanical benda yang di design tu, material and manufacturing.. tup tup tup ada kakak yang tengah buat master bertanya pasal anthropometrics.. im like "e'eh kak, saya baru belajar DUA sem lepas!!" excited kot cuz kat malaysia scope ni kecik lagi.. muda mentah bergetah lagi youuu.. plus takde lagi anthropometric measurement for Malaysians.. ada pun Japanese punya je.. uhuk uhuk sedeyh...

tapi serius best la pergi program macam ni.. they dont tell you WHAT YOU HAVE to do.. they tell you what you THINK you can do and DO it with confident.. so bila Pak Sheikh from UPM diberi tajuk ceramah Prospect of a Scientist.. he just said, tak payah fikir sangat tentang scope seorang sainstis ni.. sometimes, you just got to go with the flow.. kata beliau sains ni luas, banyak benda yang kita boleh terokai.. but one thing yang dorang support sangat untuk kitorang-kitorang ni lakukan.. SAMBUNG STUDIES.. with Malaysia lack of researchers.. they need us untuk membangunkan negara.

FACT: Malaysia's Wawasan 2020 supposedly has 60 researchers for every 10'000 workforce. but we now only have 18% of needed researchers by 2020. 18% and 100%, you do the maths! memang la belum 2020 tapi ada lagi kurang dari 9 tahun nak produce ALL that.. huh!

maka bahawasanya disini ye rakan taulan adik abang kakak, yang pak cik yag kat kedai kopi tu, cik bedah, cik semah jangan asyik duk pot-pet pasal politik je ye.. seriously, program ni have made me opened up banyak sngat dalam otak ni.. kalau sekadar cakap je lebih n fokus sangat kat satu benda, tak gerak jugak Malaysia ni.. so fikir-fikirkanlah kalau korang nak Malaysia double triple maju dari sekarang.. fikirkan SOLUTIONS, fikirkan BOLEH!

well practically this is my first for 2011!! happy 2011 everyone!! okay dont get too psyched.. well ive been enjoying my semester break with my family! so here's a bit of snippets of what happened!

honestly, I suck at taking pictures.. lagi-lagi tak biasa pakai kamera tu.. haha but these ones are totally family pictures..

caused i suck at photos + banyak gelak = pictures meraban..
but i love these meraban pictures! memories perhaps??

we so many people around you, it's hard to take pictures AND move around.. seriously, memang stuffy gilerr masa upacara sarung cincin.. it's very intimate family gathering by sebelah abah punye side.. and very PEACHY!

kalau dulu try istak original.. rasa dia *hak-hak-tuih* sikit la kan..

yang kali ini i tried apple (mine) and peach (abang ajip's) flavoured barbican drink.. puas dah citer istak je.. sian si barbican ni.. "alololo bucuk-bucuk barbican sayang ye??" sungguh sodappp yang ada perisa-perisa ni weyhh..

okay, bagi yang first time try drink mesti akan rasa semacam punya kelat-kelat ala-ala macam korang makan manggis busuk gitu kat tekak you tuu.. tapi for Malaysians yang lidah nipis @ tak tahan makanan pedas *like me* drink ni neutralise kan kepijaran kepedasan Arab Cuisine yang korang telan.. Seriously, Arab food can be very dry and heck bodied with spices.. tak tahu la if drink ni neutralise tekak aku je kan? but that is what i felt la.. ke itu firasat aku semata-mata?? ummm korang try dulu dah bagitaw aku eh?? hahaha

i had dinner with my family dekat an Arab cuisine restaurant.. dia dekat area-area depan gate belakang UiTM section 2.. (tapi kedai ni kat section 7 yeah).. masa kecik-kecik ada gak la makan Arab cuisine tapi kat KL, sumpah la tak ingat kan.. mau-mau nya kedai tu dah bungkus, satu koje la pulak nye teman nak gi mencari nye ye?? yang ni sebelah dobi tak silap.. nama restoran tu pun tak ingat.. pepandai la korang round-round area tu and cari restoran ni.. lagi-lagi penunggu-penung,.. err i mean pelajar! pelajar-pelajar UiTM section 2 korang rajin-rajin la round area ni.. jangan asyik tawaf MidValley dengan Sunway je..

i just would recommend to take hummus, soup or something with 'juicy' *is that the word* or 'with kuah' cuz typical Malaysian *like me* (again.. semangat patriotisme sikit.. ahaks..) memang kena something yang ber'gravy' sikit.. but they're selling this barbican drink for rm 4.50 if not mistaken.. masuk duti import ni nyahhhh!! kau ingat benda ni macam rokok kretek ke ape?

pictures taken around kuala terengganu.. pasar payang, kampung cina, and seberang takir.. i was sleepy and tired all the way.. so i guess its a so-so picture.. tak gempak pon.. however comments sangat diperlukan..

BTW i like the first picture.. the kids were playing on a somewhat wrecked wheelchair in the middle of the pasar payang itself! ok, tengok semua gambar ye!
